Jared Pelletier is an award-winning reporter who joined the NBC 10 News team as a multimedia journalist in September 2016.
Prior to moving to the Rhode Island he worked as a multimedia journalist for WGME/WPFO the CBS/FOX affiliate in Portland, Maine. The Maine Association of Broadcasters named Jared as a winner of the 2016 MAB award for “spot news coverage” for his live breaking news coverage of a significant flash flood in downtown Portland.
Jared’s desire to tell compelling stories that matter to viewers has taken him all over the country. Prior to working in Maine, he began his career in Clarksburg, West Virginia, where he was a reporter for the CBS/FOX affiliate WDTV.
In 2013, he graduated cum laude from Suffolk University in Boston with a broadcast journalism degree. Jared was born and raised in Nashua, New Hampshire, and is thrilled to be working in New England close to home.
When he isn’t telling stories, Jared really enjoys spending time at a lake or beach. He also likes to cook and loves rooting on his beloved Boston-based sports teams.
