Tuesday's Child Jasmine drawn to math, science
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) —
It's Jasmine's first visit to the Providence Children's Museum, and she is mesmerized by the sights and sounds.
Those who know her well say Jasmine's room at her group home is as neat as a pin. You can see her organizational talent come out as she arranges metal beads into a design on a magnetic surface.
Jasmine, 10, does well in school, especially math and her fascination with science is apparent as she explores the water room, pondering how things work and not being afraid to jump in.
Jasmine has a lot to offer an adoptive family. She's been in state care for about four years and she could definitely help out in the kitchen.
What does she like to make?
"Hot chocolate, cookies and brownies," she said.
While she says living in state care is OK, she really wants a loving home.
"I would like my new parents, if I got one, to be nice, helping," she said.
