StormTeam10: Friday Snow & Weekend COLD!
Here's the latest thinking on the snow for Friday as of 11:30PM Thursday:
START TIME: 4-6AM...snow becomes moderate at times for the start of the AM commute.
Moderate snow likely through much of the morning on Friday.
END TIME: 1-4PM (lasts the latest across eastern Massachusetts)
AMOUNTS: A sharp north-south cutoff to the snowfall...the coast gets the most! Most of our area should see 2-5" less inland, more south...The New Beford area from Buzzard's Bay Eastward MAY see some 6" or higher amounts...
After the snow ends its gets VERY cold (again) over the weekend...wind chills Saturday morning will be below zero with afternoon highs both Saturday & Sunday in the 20s...colder than average air lasts all of next week.
Here is a look at the wind chill forecast for Saturday morning...zero to 5 below possible!
We are still seeing strong signals of a potentially major winter storm in the area Tuesday into Wednesday...it's track and exact snow amounts will be ironed out over the next few days but this has great potential to bring quite a bit of snow (OR a snow/rain mix) so I urge you to stay tuned to the forecast!
