Storm Team 10: Up and down next few days
A series of waves of low pressure will roll across our area over the next several days, bringing periods of rain as well as dry periods of weather.
Tuesday night, we are watching a wave of low pressure moving off the eastern coastline to our south. This system will push MOST of its rain offshore to our south but a few lighter rain showers are possible from about 6 a.m. through noon on Wednesday. Areas near the southern coastline are most likely to see this light rain.
Drier air builds in Wednesday afternoon as this storm passes to our east BUT the changes keep coming. A much broader area of low pressure will bring rain showers back into the forecast Thursday through Friday.
Right now, it looks like the steadiest rain will fall from Thursday afternoon through midday Friday. After this, drier air builds in for Friday night through at least early Sunday.
A tricky pattern develops later in the holiday weekend as low pressure sits over the Great Lakes and sends a few spokes of energy our way.
Timing the rain showers is difficult at this point but it is looking like a chance of showers later Sunday afternoon and evening and perhaps another round of showers Memorial Day. Certainly not a steady soaking rain but unsettled at times.
