BURRILLVILLE, R.I. —
Burrillville police say they have two people under arrest following the discovery of a body found at a home on Douglas Pike on Friday afternoon.
The body of Domingo Ortiz was found around 5:30 p.m. on Friday at 505 Douglas Pike. Police had been on-scene for the day in search of a missing man. On Saturday, police positively identified the body as Ortiz. Police say the victim's body was in a hand-dug hole covered with fill, large rocks, a layer of cement, and a newly constructed deck.
In a press release on Saturday, police announced two arrests in the murder. Police arrested Michelle Morin, 40 who resides at the address where the victim was found, and charged her with the murder of Ortiz after obtaining an affidavit and arrest warrant. Morin is being held as a Fugitive from Justice in Worcester and will be presented for extradition proceedings on Monday.
Police also say Steven Pietrowicz Jr., 39, also residing at the same address was arrested and charged with murder. He is being held at the ACI and will be arraigned on Monday at 6th district court.
