Candidate disrupts, delays mayoral debate

The second Providence mayoral debate was delayed over an hour Wednesday night when Democratic candidate Christopher Young was removed.

Young was taken out of the forum after he refused to remove a statue of the Virgin Mary that he placed on the candidates table.

Once the debate got under way, the other candidates: Rep. Steven Costantino, City Councilor John Lombardi, Angel Taveras and Jonathan Scott talked about schools, economic development, immigration and the police.
