Four children, two adults injured in West Warwick car accident

    Six people were injured in a two-car crash, West Warwick police said Monday.

    The crash happened at about 5:10 p.m. Saturday on Wakefield Street.

    Police said a Saturn Vue crossed the center line and crashed into a Hyundai Santa Fe. The Vue went off the road and struck a tree.

    The female driver of the Vue had a broken wrist and hip. Three children in the car had bruises or bumped their heads.

    A woman driving the Santa Fe had a broken arm and her 10-year-old passenger had bruises.

    All six people were taken to area hospitals.
