Groundbreaking for residential complex takes place on historic site in West Warwick

WEST WARWICK, R.I. — A groundbreaking ceremony was held Friday for the revitalization of the Lippitt Mill in West Warwick.

The mill was one of 34 locations to received historic tax credits for revitalization after suffering flood damage two years ago.

Developers want to turn the mill into a residential complex that will offer affordable housing.
