EASTON, Mass. —
A Massachusetts state trooper was treated at the hospital for minor injuries after an alleged drunken driver struck his cruiser from behind while it was stopped at a red light.
State police said in a statement that Trooper Robert Bohn was at a traffic light on Route 138 north in Easton at about 9 p.m. Monday when his cruiser was rear-ended.
He was taken to Boston Medical Center with neck and back injuries and released at about 1 a.m. Tuesday.
A police dog, Wyatt, was also in the cruiser but was not injured.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the cruiser was identified as 26-year-old Luke Anderson of Brockton.
He was arrested at the scene and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and operating to endanger.
