Pedestrian struck in Coventry

COVENTRY, R.I. — NBC 10 has learned that a pedestrian has been struck in Coventry.

The incident occurred just after 6:30 Saturday night in the area of 613 Washington Street.{}

Sources tell NBC 10 that the pedestrian was transported from the scene to Rhode Island Hospital, who was notified to put their trauma center on alert.{}

The extent of the pedestrian's injuries is not yet known, and investigators are currently on scene to determine how the incident may have occurred.
