Gov. Gina Raimondo on Wednesday said the Public Utilities Commission is reviewing National Grid's electric rates after Congress lowered the corporate tax rate.
Congress voted in December to lower the corporate tax rate from 35 to 21 percent for public utilities and other corporations.
"We think they should share some of that with the people and with the ratepayers," Raimondo said Wednesday during an exclusive interview with Dan Jaehing during the Connect to the Capitol segment.
In a statement, a National Grid spokesman previously said the company is reviewing the new tax law and the expected benefits to customers.
