Do not pass Go: App holds Monopoly cheaters accountable

Pawtucket-based Hasbro has created a new way to stop cheating while playing an iconic board game.

A Monopoly CheatBot is available through Facebook Messenger that allows players to report questionable moves by their opponents.

An alert would be sent to the "cheater" from Mr. Monopoly himself, who issues a custom punishment.

According to a recent study from Hasbro, out of 2,000 players surveyed, 50 percent said some form of cheating happened during game play.
