
Trinity Repertory Company is showing off the success of "The Prince of Providence," a play about the life and political career of former Mayor Vincent "Buddy" Cianci Jr.
According to theater, more than 13,000 people saw the play during its extended seven-week run.
Trinity Rep said that makes it the highest-grossing non-holiday production ever at the theater, breaking the record set by "My Fair Lady" in 2000.
The theater said people from 30 states across the country came to see the show, adding there's been interested from Broadway and off-Broadway producers, as well as film and TV.
