State and local authorities in Connecticut have identified a body pulled from a pond where a snowmobiler was reported missing in December after falling through the ice.

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection confirmed Wednesday that it was the body of John Dubois, 56, of Griswold.

Dubois was reported missing while snowmobiling on the pond Dec. 16. First responders found the snowmobile at the time, but not the rider.

The body was found at Pachaug Pond on Tuesday.
