Books sorted to send to Houston
A group of 80 high school students are gathered at the Ocean State Job Lot headquarters in North Kingstown on Saturday morning for a good cause.
The students are sorting 120,000 books that were purchased by the Charitable Foundation and are being donated to elementary schools in Houston to replenish the libraries damaged during the Hurricane Harvey flooding.
The students are from Rocky Hill School, Bay View, Moses Brown, and other local schools.
The kids are joined by local librarians and other volunteers, some of whom wrote personal notes to go along with the book donations.
