Cars damaged by gunfire on Manton Avenue

Providence police said Thursday that three cars were shot up on Manton Avenue.

The gunfire was reported at about 5:10 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said a witness told them she saw three men with machine guns start shooting. The witness said the men then ran in the opposite direction.

Police said three cars were damaged. One had a flat tire, one had multiple bullet holes, and a third had the rear window shot out.

Police also said they found multiple bullet casings.

No injuries were reported.
