Observant Coventry DPW worker spots injured owl

The Coventry Public Works Department is crediting a trash collector with saving an injured owl.

The department said the trash collector spotted the owl sitting at the edge of Hill Farm Road. The town said the driver waited with the owl until animal control officers arrived.

Animal control took the owl to a wildlife rehabilitation center.

"Thank you to Coventry Animal Control for always being there when we need you!" DPW said in a Facebook post.
