Four people were arrested in connection with a home invasion in Scituate Thursday night, according to authorities.

The Scituate Police Department said it received a report about a home invasion on Matteson Road around 6:30 p.m.

“The caller also advised there were three suspects and one had a rifle,” police noted in a press release, adding that the suspects ran from the house and into a car that was apparently waiting for him.

Police responded to the area, where they said they found a “suspicious” car on Matteson Road near Tunk Hill Road. They stopped the car and determined the people inside were the three suspects.

They arrested the suspects, along with the driver.
