Each December, Southern New Englanders re-define the term “deck the halls" with their dazzling homes for the holidays.
Many of them started off with just a few strings of lights and a couple toy soldiers, but their displays soon snowballed into winter wonderlands and magical masterpieces.
With flashing lights and shimmering sights, they continue to make this time of year merry and bright.

Frank Picozzi and his family have been dazzling their neighborhood -- and beyond -- for 11 years.
Picozzi told NBC 10 News he works on his display, which is synchronized to 22 holiday hits, all year long. His goal is to share as much magic with as many people as possible.
“People enjoy it. They bring their kids and tell me it’s a family tradition,” Picozzi said, adding that he modified some existing props this year to make them more sophisticated for better effects.
