Great White guitarist says band did not perform at Station nightclub
Great White guitarist Mark Kendall says his band did not perform at The Station nightclub in West Warwick the night a fire killed 100 people in 2003.
The devastating fire was caused by pyrotechnics igniting sound-proofing foam in the club.
Kendall told the website TMZ that the band performing that night was lead singer Jack Russell's solo band not Great White, an act comprised of five separate members.
He said the show was never booked as a Great White show and that the marquee was only billed as such so the venue would sell more tickets.
A permanent memorial is in the process of being built at the site of the fire.
