Jay Leno in RI to help support local cause
Former Tonight show host Jay Leno is helping out a local cause.
NBC10 caught up with Leno at his performance at URI Saturday night.
He spoke with us about a non-profit he's supporting called "Colins Law.org."
It's run by Robin Foote whose son Colin was killed six years ago by a driver who hit him in an intersection.
That driver, Laura Reale, was a habitual offender at the time.
Now Foote is advocating to make roads safer and Jay Leno is trying to help, auctioning off two passes for people to tour his personal garage and the money will support the non-profit.
The passes will be auctioned off at a car show in June next year because the original, which was going to be held Saturday, had to be rescheduled.
