Lightning strikes Burrillville home

Lightning struck a home in Burrillville as a line strong thunderstorms pushed through Southern New England.

Fire officials said the house on Church Street in Pascoag was struck by lightning at about 6 p.m. Tuesday.

A woman and her son were inside at the time, but they were not hurt.

The bolt hit a TV antenna, damaged the chimney and traveled down to the electrical panel.
