McKee to speak at kickoff event to encourage voters to support Higher Education Bond

(WJAR) — Governor Dan McKee will speak at a kickoff event to encourage voters to support a Higher Education Bond question on Tuesday.

The event will try to convince Rhode Islanders to vote yes on ballot question two.

If approved, it would help build a Biomedical Sciences Building at the University of Rhode Island and renovate Whipple Hall at Rhode Island College to become the home of the Institute for Cybersecurity and Emerging Technologies.

The bond is worth $160.5 million.
