Memorial honoring child vandalized in South Kingstown; Police seek suspect
Someone vandalized a memorial in South Kingstown that was dedicated to a child, according to authorities.
Police said a fountain in honor of Brandon M. Austin was smashed in Fagan Park and they need help from the public to find the culprit.
A chunk is missing from the fountain, according to an image released by the South Kingstown Police Department.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time a memorial for Brandon has been vandalized.
In March, NBC 10 News reported that a plaque with his name and image was stolen out of the same park.
Brandon died in a tragic accident.
At the time, his heartbroken mother shared with NBC 10 the new wounds the stolen plaque inflicted on her.
The South Kingstown Police Department is asking anyone with information to call 401-783-3321.
