Men accused of trying to steal motorcycles from Glocester home

Glocester police said Monday that they arrested two Massachusetts men trying to steal motorcycles from a house.

Police said 19-year-old Rory Barrows Jr. and 20-year-old Helder Pereira each face one count of burglary and one count of conspiracy to commit burglary. Both are from New Bedford.

Police said they received a 911 call early Friday morning for a burglary in progress in a home in Paine Estates.

Police said the men were trying to load three motorcycles into a van when the homeowner confronted them.

Police said Pereira and Barrows were arrested in the van leaving the scene of the burglary. Officers seized some stolen articles from the home and ski masks from the van.

The men were ordered held at the ACI pending court hearings next month.
