FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WJAR) — New England Patriots fans not only were able to watch their favorite player practice Thursday at Gillette Stadium, but they also had the opportunity to do it safely.
The Kraft Center for Community Health set up a tent for free vaccines at the Patriots training camp.
People can walk up and get the Pfizer vaccine and no appointment necessary.
The goal is to reach those who are still hesitant about the vaccine.
"We're taking health care outside the brick and mortar care of our hospitals and clinics and meeting people in the community is to de-medicalize these things. Yes, this is medical but also our responsibility as members of our community," explained Dr. Priya Sarin Gupta, who's with the Kraft Center for Community Health.
There are some incentives to getting a shot at Gillette. Fans who get one will be given a $25 voucher for concessions and ticket for free entry into the Patriots Hall of Fame.
These vaccine clinics will continue until July 31.
