A house in New Bedford was damaged by a fire on Wednesday night, displacing three people.

Video sent to NBC 10 News shows firefighters battling flames at the home on Cottage Street around 6:30 p.m.

Smoke poured through the roof as authorities worked the scene.

Authorities said it took them about an hour to extinguish the fire, describing it as "a stubborn" blaze due to the layout of the home.

They noted that the second and third floors sustained smoke, fire and water damage, while the first floor also suffered water damage.

No one was hurt, according to authorities.

It was not immediately known what started the fire.
