North Providence's Andor's TV & Furniture closing after 56 years.

After 56 years in business Andor’s TV & Furniture in North Providence announced they are going out of business.

Store officials announced that they will be having a going out of business sale starting September 7th.

Founded by the late Anthony Petrarca, who passed away in 2015, Andor’s is now owned and operated by Petrarca’s son and daughter Anthony Jr. and Dina.

The co-owners have decided to close the business in order to pursue other business ventures.

“For more than a half century, we have been committed to providing our customers with the best value in home furnishings, backed by loyal and honest service,” said Dina Petrarca. “Our easy-to-shop, free-flowing showroom is filled with affordable furniture and accessories in all the latest styles. Style, selection, service and value are the core elements of our business.”

According to the owner's a huge assortment of product will be available during the sale event, with discounts of up to 65 percent on area rugs. Everything in the store will be sold before the closing. Products are being offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

“We suggest shoppers come in early for the best selection,” said Dina Petrarca.
