Gov. Gina Raimondo, Transportation Director Peter Aliviti and Johnston Mayor Joseph Polisena joined officials from Citizens Bank on Friday to cut the ribbon on a new exit on Interstate 295.

The new exit 10 at Greenville Avenue was built to serve the Citizens Bank campus that will open next month.

The $7 million project was paid for by the state and Citizens Bank.

"This is a great example of government and private business coming together on transportation improvements that support economic development and provide new infrastructure for all users," Raimondo said in a news release.

The ramps will officially open to drivers on Saturday.
