Oh, my gourd! Coventry man wins contest with 2,000-pound pumpkin

A Coventry man has won a big award for growing a giant pumpkin.

Ron Wallace took home first place Friday night in the Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off held at the Topsfield Fair in Massachusetts, according to NBC Boston.

Wallace’s pumpkin weighs 2,114 pounds, which is almost 100 pounds more than the second place gourd.

Wallace is known for being able to grow large pumpkins and has won many prizes in the past.
