Pregnant woman struck by car in Providence
Providence police are investigating a late-night pedestrian accident.
The department told NBC 10 News that a pregnant woman was trying to cross Allens Avenue south of Georgia Avenue when she was struck at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
The woman was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the woman was not in a crosswalk.
The driver did stop and no charges have been filed.
