Storm causes power line fire in Dartmouth

The powerful storm system that moved through our area caused a power line fire and a road closure in Dartmouth on Saturday.

Dartmouth Police told NBC 10 News that around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, a tree snapped and landed on power lines on Collins Corner Road.

The tree dragged down the power lines creating a fire.

Collins Corner Road was temporarily shut down as utility workers and first responders cleared the road.

There were no injuries.
