Trump nominates Gaynor for FEMA post
The director of Rhode Island's Emergency Management Agency may be taking a position in the Trump administration.
President Trump has nominated Peter Gaynor to the post of deputy director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Gaynor was appointed director of Rhode Island's EMA by Gov. Gina Raimondo in January 2015. He previously headed up the Providence EMA.
The White House said Gaynor's resume includes being responsible for security at Camp David and being head of Plans, Policy and Operations at Marine Corps Headquarters after the Sept. 11 attacks.
