Twin River employee mugged in parking lot

Lincoln police say an employee of Twin River Casino was attacked in the parking lot Sunday. (WJAR)

Lincoln police said an employee of Twin River was attacked by two men in the parking lot of the casino.

The attack happened at about 3 a.m. Sunday as the worker was walking to his car.

Police said the assailants ran up behind the victim and started punching and kicking him while he was knocked to the ground. They stole a portable radio.

Police described the attackers as a 6-foot-tall black man with a thin build and short hair, and a white man about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. He may have dreadlocks.

A third person picked up the men in a car and drove off.

The employee was treated by fire and rescue personnel.

Lincoln police asked anyone who saw the attack or the assailants to call detectives at 401-333-1111.
