Warwick police seek vandalism culprit
A vandal -- or a group of vandals -- appears to targeting locations across Warwick.
Portions of City Park, along with Rocky Point Park, were tagged with the words, “Georgy, I see you,” as well as a gun pointed at a head.
“Some young artists were very busy this weekend,” a post on the Warwick Police Department’s Facebook page noted Tuesday afternoon. “This just in -- new graffiti reported to Lt. Lexi this morning on the brand new shed bathrooms, one at the ball field area of City Park, the other along the Rocky Point path. There was also graffiti all over the pavement at City Park. Most of the 'artwork' was too graphic or offensive to show.”
NBC 10 News also learned that a home near City Park was also recently tagged with explicit images, while a car parked in the driveway was defaced. It's not clear if the incidents are related.
“Obviously, if you know who Georgy is, Lt. Lexi would like to as well,” police noted. “Methinks that would be a big piece of this puzzle.”
