Westerly voters encouraged to vote by mail in November
Attention Westerly voters. Town officials are encouraging their registered voters to cast their ballots by mail this November.
Town officials tell NBC10 that Westerly will have 42 questions to vote on come the November 8th election.
The Board of Canvassers wants to encourage voters to apply for a mail ballot in order to avoid lines at the polls and allow the voter more time to read each question before voting.
Applications can be obtained at westerly.ri.gov or email firstname.lastname@example.org or in the 'Information for Voters" pamphlet delivered to every household in Westerly.
Everyone is eligible to vote by mail. On the application simply complete Box A, check off #4 (if 1-3 does not apply), sign and return.
The application must be returned to the Board of Canvassers by 4:00 p.m. on October 18, 2016.
