(WJAR) -- Warwick police said they arrested a 76-year-old woman who they say was caught on camera stealing a $100 bill she found on the floor of a store.

Police said they charged Dorothy Andrade with misdemeanor larceny. She was ordered to appear in Kent County District Court at a later date.

Police posted surveillance video of the woman stealing a $100 bill at a Burlington store on Nov. 4 after another woman dropped it.

Police said the woman put the bill in her purse and put her finger on her lips, apparently warning a boy to not say anything.

The post went viral, and police said it helped them identify Andrade as a suspect.

Police said it's not a case of finders-keepers because the woman knew who the money belonged to and tried to hide that she picked it up.
