Woman accused of running an illegal dog ear cropping business arrested again
A woman accused of running an illegal ear cropping business has been re-arrested.
The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals on Thursday said 28-year-old Kayla Card, of North Providence, was ordered to surrender all of her dogs during her previous arrest.
But she failed to comply, according to RISPCA.
“We were informed through a source that she concealed from us another pregnant dog,” a RISPCA spokesman said.
The spokesman added that Card appeared in court on the new infraction, with a judge allowing Card’s friend to take the dog.
