Woman charged in baby’s death denied bail
Bail has been denied for a Bristol woman who was charged in connection with the death of her 7-month-old daughter, Willow.
Mariah Ramos, 35, will remain held at Eleanor Slater Hospital in Cranston on second degree murder charges.
Willow was suffocated after her father fell asleep on top of her. She was found unresponsive Feb. 21 in Beeley's home on Airway Road in Warwick.
The father, Ryan Beeley, 38, had four drugs in his system at the time.
Judge Daniel A. Procaccini decided to hold Ramos without bail, according to the Providence Journal. That's in part because she married Beeley after the baby was killed.
The newspaper reported that the judge said it's a reflection of her inability to make decisions in her own best interest.
Ramos is due back in court Friday to determine if she can be moved to the ACI.
