Woman struck, killed on I-95 in Pawtucket identified
A woman walking or running along Interstate 95 in Pawtucket was struck and killed.
The woman, who was later identified as Ebony M. Evans, 37, was hit at about 11 p.m. Thursday on the southbound side of the highway near exit 27.
No other injuries were reported.
Two cars were stopped at the scene, one of which had heavy front-end and windshield damage.
Evans, who did not have a permanent address, was last known to be living in West Warwick.
State police did not release any additional information about the driver or drivers who struck the woman.
The crash remains under investigation.
