Woonsocket police said Wednesday that they charged two men with first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of an 81-year-old woman.

Matthew Dusseault, 20, of Woonsocket, and Tyler Grenon, 23, of Attleboro, will be arraigned in Providence District Court.

Police said 81-year-old Constance Gauthier was found dead in her Fairfield Avenue home on March 23, 2016.

Police said they would answer questions about the case at a news conference Thursday morning.

Grenon, who found the body, bolted from police days after the killing when he was brought in for questioning.

Police said Grenon ran from the station and jumped into the Blackstone River before he was recaptured.
