Walgreens has made an offer to buy Amerisource Bergen. Amerisource is one of the largest drug distributors in the U.S., and Walgreens owning it would allow it to lower drug prices and expand its online drug ordering business.

Amazon is cutting jobs at its Seattle headquarters. Reports say they are mostly in its consumer retail business. Amazon is hiring aggressively in other areas.
