Calls from spammers have doubled; Robocalls worst offenders
Well, if it seems like you’re getting more spammy phone calls-it’s true. There were more than 7 million complaints about calls that violated the ‘Do Not Call’ registry.That’s almost double two years ago. Robocalls were the worst offenders, and the most common topic, by far, was reducing debt.
The Food and Drug Administraion says there’s a big problem with the way homeopathic treatments are marketed. Some promise to treat serious diseases without any science behind that at all. The FDA will especially go after those products that pose the biggest safety risks, including those marketed to children.
Senators will vote on the new tax bill on Tuesday or at the very latest Wednesday. That bill contains corporate and individual tax cuts as well as changes in deductions. Once the senate passes it, President Trump will sign it.
Toys "R" Us could close as many as 200 stores, according to one analyst. This has been a hard christmas season for the toy chain. Bloomberg reports sales down 15 percent from last year. In september, Toys "R" Us filed for bankruptcy.
