Toys R Us rejects bid for 200 stores
Toys R Us said no to a bid from the billionaire toy maker behind Bratz dolls and Little Tikes. Isaac Larian said he'd pay $675 million for 200 of the remaining stores in the U.S., but sources told CNN the bid was too low.
The IRS payment site crashed on tax day. The payment plan page, where filers can pay their tax bills online, had technical difficulties just as millions of Americans scrambled to meet the deadline. Online taxpayers affected by the glitch will get extra time to file, according to Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin.
Starbucks will close 8,000 stores for an afternoon in May for racial bias training. The announcement follows an uproar over the arrest of two black men who were waiting for a friend at a Philadelphia Starbucks last week. The store manager called the police. About 175,000 Starbucks employees will be involved in the training.
