Feroce to run for RI governor as Republican
The race for governor of Rhode Island is becoming crowded.
Businessman Giovanni Feroce told NBC 10's Bill Rappleye on Tuesday that he will be running for governor as a Republican.
He's planning a campaign kickoff for May.
Feroce helped make Alex and Ani a powerhouse, and was more recently the CEO of watch and lifestyle brand Benrus.
House Minority Leader Patricia Morgan and Cranston Mayor Allan Fung have also announced they are seeking the Republican nomination.
Gov. Gina Raimondo is expected face challengers Spencer Dickinson and Paul Roselli in a Democratic primary.
Former state lawmaker Joe Trillo is running as an independent.
