State audit reveals RI’s shortcomings


Rhode Island's government is not keeping good track of the money it doles out in benefits -- and has problems identifying who is eligible for the benefits.

Those are the findings of an annual review conducted by the state auditor.

A 400-page report lays out dozens of improvements the state could make.
