Clouds slowly break up by the early morning. However, Tuesday is a Weather Alert in Southern New England due to wildfire smoke moving in from Quebec, Canada. An Air Quality Alert is in effect. Fine particles in the atmosphere at ground level will reach unhealthy levels or sensitive groups as soon as 4-7 am and linger all day. Limit strenuous activity outdoors if possible! You'll likely see the haze around and smell burning wood. At least it won't be as cool on Tuesday with highs in the mid-70s.

During the afternoon, a cold front brings in the chance of showers and thunderstorms. That may not be a bad thing as it would circulate the air for a short time. Wednesday reaches near 70 degrees and will still feel the effects of wildfire smoke with air quality levels "improving" to the Moderate category. A few showers develop in the afternoon, and that afternoon shower trend continues right through Friday.
