ATLANTA (WJAR) -- “Hi, mom!”
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski gave a shot out to his mother, Diane Gronkowski-Walters, during a press conference Friday.
Gronk, who has four brothers, said, credited his mother for his success.
“She means everything to me,” he said. “I mean, she’s been there since day one and, you know, growing up as a kid, I definitely wouldn’t be here without her. I mean, she made sure -- not just me, but my brothers and I -- that we were at every sporting event, every school activity. She made sure we had food and dinner before every single activity or every single sporting game we played, so without her – I mean, you’ve got to give her a lot of credit. Love you, mom.”
Diane said she is proud of all her sons and enjoys being part of the Patriots community. She joined other family members, former players and staff members to help the less fortunate at the Atlanta Mission Friday by feeding the homeless.
“We’re glad to be giving back to the community that is giving us so much,” she said.
She also said she hopes the Patriots beat the L.A. Rams Sunday in Super Bowl LIII.
