10 Cares Thanksgiving Telethon raises $62K

A suggestion donation of $25 will provide a basket of food for a family of 2 to 3 people.

Your donations to the NBC 10 Cares Thanksgiving Telethon raised more than $62,000, and there is still time to give.

Proceeds will be used to help The Salvation Army provide 3,000 food baskets to families in Southern New England.

The phone lines are closed, but you can make a donation online with your credit card by following this link.

A donation of any amount will help meet the need this Thanksgiving, but please consider the suggested contributions below.

The NBC 10 Cares Thanksgiving Telethon is an extension of the 10 Cares Thanksgiving food drive.

Nonperishable food items can be dropped off at participating Shaw’s supermarkets in Rhode Island and Bristol County, Massachusetts, from now through Sunday. Look for the marked bins.

Shaw's will provide 3,000 $10 gift cards to be included in the food baskets. The Salvation Army will sort and distribute the food to families.
