Rhode Island air show attracts 85,000 people
Organizers of the Rhode Island National Guard Open House Air Show said Tuesday that about 85,000 people attended the weekend event.
The air show was held Saturday and Sunday at Quonset State Airport.
Though some did have to brave the traffic to get there, others took advantage of the free train service from Providence, Warwick, and Wickford Junction.
Attendees were treated to some fantastic aerial acts, including the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.
The air show benefits Hasbro Children's Hospital, but donation numbers were not immediately available.
